Tomorrow, April 30th 2013, marks the 2 year anniversary of the day the world lost one incredible person, i never imagined the loss of a friend to be easy, neither did i imagine it to be quite this painful. Still, 2 years later, i have dreams about that day, the sound of that crash echo's in my ears, the events replay in my head .. over and over and over again..

As hard as it was to lose you, i feel so blessed to have been able to know you! 

You are so missed Nuni - the world may have lost you, but heaven gained something so precious that day! xx

Parlotones Concert 22 April 2013

I was incredibly lucky to be able to meet the members of my favorite band from South-Africa, The Parlotones, on their Shake it Up tour through the US, first time I ever got to see them perform live, right here in DC! Such amazing talent!

Birthday!

Had the most amazing American birthday, blessed with amazing people! Such a lucky girl indeed :)

The past, the now, the future..

Because i'll be going through some pretty huge changes soon, I have been thinking about life a lot lately..
The past, the present and most importantly.. the future! It amazes me how fast time flies and I still remember that very day I got on my flight to The US, I remember the fears I had, I remember the tears I cried, I remember thinking.. this is it.. the start of life! The start of something amazing, the start of creating a life on my own!Back then I had no idea just how many people i'd meet, or how many things i'd experience or even just how incredibly blessed i'd be!And here I am again.. two years later, life is about to change, I am once again fearfull, excited for a new chapter to begin, sad to leave the life I created here behind..

The truth is, life changes, people change, we grow, we learn, we love.. and we leave..
As much as i'd love to live in "the now" forever, I gotta take what I learnt from it along with me as I enter my future.. the memories, the experiences, the people, the love and the places I've seen, will forever be a part of who I am about to become..

I don't quite know where this journey is about to take me, all I know is, that wherever it's gonna be it's gonna be somewhere amazing ... and I absolutely can't wait!
